Another amazing year!
As we start a new year, I wanted to take a minute to review some of the excitement that 2019 brought for Iris Works—and give you a little hint of what’s to come for 2020.
This summer we celebrated Iris’ growth with an entire rebrand of the company. We knew that we weren’t just the photographer-created studio-management system anymore, so we celebrated our evolution with a new look designed to remind us that change can be powerful.
In 2019, we moved our headquarters to a bigger space in Indianapolis, where we continue to flourish in a creative space full of exciting personalities who love the photography industry. Both our customer care and development teams continue to grow and we are proud to be an all-female company.
Our feature portfolio grew this year. We added a quote component for our clients who do more custom and commercial work. Our team rolled out calendar snapshots and took our booking platform to a new level by integrating contracts and invoices into one seamless process. Additionally, also began offering free migration from other systems, revamped our Facebook community and offered a series of publications and user-features designed to help photographers showcase how they have grown their businesses through better efficiencies.
On a personal note, I was honored to be included in the Tory Burch Fellows program in New York City, where I gained access to an amazing network of entrepreneurs and had the chance to evolve with a group of 50 other female founders. And in October, my husband and I welcomed baby number three to the Gradle crew. It’s been a busy year.
But we are still just getting started!
You can expect to see big things from Iris in 2020. We’re starting it off with the rollout of payment schedules and a brand new Iris mobile app. I cannot wait to share more information with you on these early-2020 announcements. We are excited and we are listening. I’m grateful that you trust us with your business and I look forward to what’s to come. Happy New Year from our entire team at Iris Works!
