Why Sean Brown chose Iris Works
Vancouver-based Senior Photographer
“Iris was the obvious choice because of how it took all of the complicated stuff about client management and made it easy.”
Why did you choose Iris, and how has it impacted your business?
“Iris was the obvious choice because it took all of the complicated stuff about client management and made it easy. There were other CRMs that I tried using, but so much of what they did was complicated or just way too much for what I was looking for. I needed something that would take care of my clients, but didn’t need to spend a month learning and Iris was the clear solution to that problem.”
What was the one biggest pain point in your business before using Iris and how did Iris solve that for you?
“I originally did all of my client management manually and noticed that there were essential tasks that I was late on doing or completely forgot about because life got in the way. Iris has completely changed how I am able to handle my client management and now I know that each and every client is going to get the same information and attention that they deserve. Through workflows, Iris does it all for me and ensures that my clients are taken care of every step of the way.”
If you could choose one word other than “photographer” to describe yourself what would it be?
Traveler! Some times I feel like I spend more time on planes or in new cities than I do in my own bed.”
How has Iris helped you find the balance to be more of a traveler?
“Without Iris, I wouldn’t be able to travel nearly as much as I want. Last summer, I was gone nearly ever weekend and was on a plane as soon as I was done with a session. When inquiries came in, I had to wait to get back to my desk to send them off everything they needed. With Iris, I am now able to do everything I need to with my iPhone anywhere in the world in under five minutes. It is amazing how simple they make responding to inquiries and keeping your clients happy allowing me the time to do what I love.”
