Meet Melissa

Hi there! My name is Melissa Rosic and I am the owner of Melissa Rosic Photography based out of Fairmont, West Virginia. I have been married to my husband Aaron for almost 12 years and we have a beautiful 5 year old son named Evan. I’m a coffee addict, a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal who is pretty much a “homebody” that loves quiet nights at home watching Netflix with the guys.

I began my photography journey as a mom who wanted to document my son’s life in a creative and artistic way. My style includes simple and classic portraits mixed together with laid back lifestyle images that capture family connections and children’s natural personalities. I have a BA in Fine Art/Art Education and have always been drawn to all things “artsy”. It wasn’t until I had my son that I really dug into photography.

I recently opened my own studio and have been focusing on newborn and children’s studio portraits. I also specialize in on-location family portraiture.

Fun facts about me!

1. I love 90’s alternative music and still talk about the 90’s as if it was just 5 years ago. 😉

2. Clients are always shocked at how tall I am when I first meet them. I’m 6’1” and it’s pretty average for my family.

3. I still get nervous before every session. I think it is what keeps me wanting to learn more.

4. I have tried several types of art media before settling on photography… I have a degree in painting, own a pottery wheel and I can “craft” with the best of them.

Be sure to check out more of Melissa’s work!
