Hi, I’m Halee! I am a traveling photographer and live in Indiana (Go Hoosiers)! I have been married to the most wonderful man for almost 8 years, and we have a perfect two-year-old daughter together.
I have always loved photography, but I started shooting more seriously in college (after much encouragement from my husband) making a little extra income here and there. After college I taught high school English for two years while shooting part-time for clients. I decided to pursue it as a full-time career a little over two years ago after our daughter was born, and I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else! It is the perfect career for me and my dream job.
I primarily shoot film and could sit here and write about why I love it all day. It pushes me creatively, makes me more connected to my clients and makes me shoot with so much more intention.
I currently specialize in Family and Wedding photography. Photographing families and true love is such an honor to me, and I get so extremely flattered when I am chosen to document such incredibly special times for people. I have a piano in my home with old photographs sitting on it and my favorites are of my grandparents on their wedding days; it makes me so happy knowing that perhaps one day, many years from now, there will be framed photos of mine sitting around on a piano reminding someone where their family started and that it started with such happiness and love.
Five Fun Facts
1) Coca Beach, Florida is like a second home to me.
2) I think clowns are horrifying.
3) My home was built in the 1890s. I LOVE old stuff, and I always wanted an old home. Redoing and restoring it with my husband has been so fun (and a super slow process, haha).
4) I have a weirdly large collection of Wizard of Oz things. I’ve always been obsessed with the movie since I was little and have SO MUCH stuff. Some super rare things, too!
5) I listen to music from the 60s most of the time. The Beach Boys are my favorite 🙂
