Release Notes: May 27, 2020

It’s been a few weeks, but we’re back with the 6th issue of Release Notes! The purpose of this series is to try to give a little more insight into what the software development team accomplishes. On a biweekly basis, we share what new features, enhancements, and fixes have been completed over the previous two weeks. We hope you enjoy and find these posts informative! This time, we’ll be covering the past month of what’s been going on.

New Features 💡

Mobile View for Invoices

We’ve redesigned the look and feel of the Invoice page when you view it on a mobile device. All buttons and text are viewable again without rotating your device or changing the zoom!

Enhancements ✨

  • The Invoice page customers see now looks more like your view of the page. The look of this page was due for an update and we’ve added a loading message that prevents customers from moving away from the page before their payment has finished processing. We’ve also updated our payment processors to use the newest components and forms provided by them.
  • Invoice Template previews have also been updated to match the Invoice page. Now when you preview an Invoice Template, it looks similar to the main Invoice page and your customers’ view of the page for a cohesive look and feel.
  • Time picker inputs have more options. We’ve updated our Time pickers to have 15-minute increments rather than 30-minute ones, giving you more options to choose from and saving you typing time.

Standardized Look for Inputs

In some locations of the web application, such as the New/Edit Invoice modal, inputs didn’t quite line up and might have looked a little off. We’ve made some updates so that they flow better together everywhere.

Fixes 🛠️

  • The “Delete in QuickBooks” Invoice action works once again. These requests were not going through due to an error on our part, and you were also not seeing an error message to inform you that something was wrong. Both of these problems have been addressed.
